Nursery
Misty redwood trees and a starry night sky. The nursery is a tranquil room for quiet and rest. Each child has their own nest to sleep in or retreat to when needed. It serves as a nap time space for our youngest explorers and an independent play area for our preschoolers. At rest, blackout shades are drawn and tranquil sounds are played. Infants are checked every 15 minutes during sleep.
Playroom
The playroom is the center of our daycare. The space has been thoughtfully composed to promote independence in everyday tasks. Each child has a space to store and access their belongings. Toys are easily seen and accessible to encourage play. Art is rotated to appreciate beauty. The room is open allowing children to move freely and also houses various small spaces to vary play. Our playroom is where we share meals, create art, dance, cuddle and play!
The Kitchenette
Our kitchen is a child friendly space that allows them to participate in practical life. Children are invited to help with mealtime service and cleanup. A pedestal sink allows for group hand washing and stools are moved around for little ones needing a bit of help. The restroom is located right off the kitchenette so the potty is always close. The large window allows children to view incoming friends.
The Wood
Tall oak trees canopy this natural play space providing shade and shadows, leaves and twigs. Stumps for balancing and having tea parties on are paired with play structures. A grassy field is perfect for picnics and running.
